Objects in our collections are varied: this is a sample. On exhibit we have items used in the home, in the forest, on the farm, in the fields.We have items used in business, in manufacturing, communication, and travel. We have items from schools, churches, libraries. Almost everything in our collections comes from families who have settled in the County of Grey or close at hand. Settlers came from Scotland, Ireland, England, the United States, southern Ontario. Some of the first non-native settlements in Grey Highlands were created by black pioneers.

Not all our collections are on this site. And not all of our collections are on exhibit at any one time. Though small, our museum has a storage area that holds objects, photos and records. We plan changes to exhibits over a year and from year to year. This way we can focus on a variety of themes and highlight a range of artifacts. This also gives repeat visitors something new to see whenever they come to the museum.
