Agnes Macphail, her mother and two friends posing on the front steps of the residence and office of Flesherton dentist, Dr. Ernest C. Murray, (later becoming the home of George Boyd. ) Agnes at front left; her mother, Mrs Dougald Macphail (Henrietta Campbell ) to the right in the photo; back left : Mrs. E.C. Murray (Edna Lounds); to right in photo, Mrs. Fred McTavish (Lottie Bennett) . Woman to far right, half hidden by post, is unknown. Occasion said to be the celebration of Agnes's 1935 re-election to Ottawa. Dr EC Murray's dental practice (and false teeth lab) took up one side of his house. It's said he drilled teeth operating the machine with a foot pump, but that he had a restful waiting room. Murray also sold insurance to supplement his dental income.
