| Description |
Photo of Agnes Macphail as young woman, seated in profile, inscribed "To my dear Clark., Agnes." Part of the collections from Kate MacMillan, who was largely responsible for starting the South Grey Museum. Clark, Kate's brother; served in World War I but was diagosed with tuberculosis on his return. He and Kate's other two siblings, Annie and Duncan, all died in their twenties. Photo is a sepia tone, studio shot. Agnes' hair is waved, she's wearing eyeglasses, but ones that pinch on the bridge of the nose, rather than over the ears. Her delicate white dress has visible bead work at the throat and side-seam where it falls at her waist. |
