| Abstract |
A printed thank-you for your sympathy card signed by Agnes Macphail on behalf of herself and her sisters on the occasion of her mother's death in 1937. Text reads: My sisters and I wish to acknowledge with gratitude your kind letter of sympathy for the grief we are suffering over the loss of our mother. The world seems a different place and life has lost its savor but we suffer less when we remember that mother is at rest and kind friends are standing by.
Signed in ink, Agnes Macphail, with the date Oct. 5, 1937 also written in ink on the bottom left of the card. We do not know who exactly this card was sent to . |
