Description Black and white studio photo of Agnes and Gertha Macphail as young girls. Matted and mounted on pebbled cream stock with studio name and location embossed in lower right hand corner: Craig Studio, Canada. Both girls are dressed in dark dresses with white lace bibs, their hair parted in the middle; Gertha has a bow at the back of her neck. Agnes, seated, appears to be wearing her hair rolled up at the back as well as the sides. She is wearing conventional (over the ear) eye glasses. There was a three year age gap between Agnes (born 1890 ) and Gertha (born 1983). Youngest sister Lily (born 1897) is not pictured. Owen Sound, the city at the base of the Bruce Peninsula where the photographer's studio was located , was the city where Agnes went to Highschool after her two-year schooling hiatus spent at home helping her mother.
